Hope I'm work appropriate....

Plaid shirt- H&M
Tank- Urban Outfitters
Skirt- American Eagle
Boots- Zara

***********************************
So today's another hot one and with that comes the torture of having to find a work AND weather appropriate outfit. I work retail, so you'd think it wouldn't be too hard to find something to wear, but let me tell you, it's impossible! If I wear something appropriate for work, chances are I might get a heat stroke. If I wear something appropriate for the weather, chances are I'm going to get fired (okay maybe not fired but it wouldn't be good. Today I tried really hard to balance the two. I started with the skirt since its the one piece of my outfit that's actually from  my job (lol!). This skirts really short, so I knew I'd have to balance it with something longer & looser up top, so I chose this lightweight plaid button down from H&M. This fabric is so light and flowy it almost feels like you have nothing on, which is perfect for the weather. I added this plain white tank to offset all the dark fall like colors. Added boots for a badass touch and voila, my work AND weather appropriate outfit of the day.
So, what do you guys think?

Daisies, gladiators, and curly hair

Dress- H&M
Sandals- American Eagle

***********************************
Haha, I love how my outfit details list becomes shorter and shorter as the weather gets hotter. This heat has me delusional so to stay cool, I threw on this lightweight sun dress from H&M. Even though its black, the lightweight fabric of this dress, as well as the mini length, makes it an ideal piece for a hot summer day. The cute little daisies give it just the right amount of girly playfulness. I paired it with these gold gladiator sandals from American Eagle Outfitters (picked out by my boyfriend, he has such a good eye! Lol). I left my hair crazy curly, which I do almost always in the summer.
What do you guys where when its really hot out?

Never thought I'd wear a skort again but...

Top- PacSun
Skort- Zara
Boots- Dr Martens, Luana boot

***************************************

I remember when I was a kid, skorts (shorts that have this sort of front flap that makes them this hybrid skirt/shorts thing.. for those of you who don't know) were THE article of clothing for girls like me. Girls who were tomboys but still liked to be girly. I like to think I'm still like that so when I saw this black skort in Zara, I couldn't pass it up! It's so cute and comfortable and has pockets and the length is great and, ugh, I'm just in love (lol). There are so many different ways to wear this skort but for today's look, I paired it with this sunflower top from Pacsun and my Dr Marten, Luana boots. *note to self- never wear your docs in this kind of blistering hear again!*
I plan on making a ton of different outfits with this Zara skort so stay tuned!

My sister graduated high school & I'm old

Jumpsuit- Urban Outiftters
Shoes & Sweater- H&M

************************************

Wow, my baby sister graduated high school on Monday (6/24/13)! I can't believe she's all grown up, I feel so old! Haha, anyway, for her graduation, I wanted to wear something really fun & cute. I was originally going for a dress but when I saw this jumpsuit I couldn't pass it up. It's long & flowy & very hippie chic (just my style!). I also loved the cut out in the front. It gives it a flirty appeal without being too revealing. The floral print is perfect for summer as well. I wanted the jumpsuit to be the stand out piece of this outfit so I paired it with these strappy wedges from H&M. I love these because they're so versatile and are also really comfortable and easy to walk in. I brought along the knit sweater from H&M for when I'm in the air conditioned auditorium and restaurant. Let me know you guys think of my graduation look! 😊

All American

Crop top- American Eagle Outfitters
Cutoffs- American Apparel
Sneakers- Keds
Leather bracelets- Libeskind
Sunglasses- Vans

***************************************
Today's the 2nd day of summer! For today's look, I wanted something all American & classic. I threw on this maroon & white striped crop top from AEO & paired it with these cutoffs (that I actually cut myself) from American Apparel. I chose to wear my floral Keds with this look since Keds are a classic shoe, but the floral print adds an up to date fun touch. I said I was going to start adding accessories and I did! I'm wearing these 2 made into 1 bracelets from Libeskind to add an extra pop of color and these tortuous shell with teal accents sunglasses by Vans. Sun a fun look to put together. What are you all wearing today?

Hippie Gypsy Mermaid... Pants?

Crop top- Kirra (for PacSun)
Pants- Staring at Stars (for Urban Outiffters)
Sneakers- Converse All Stars

Bag- Journeys
Headphones- UrbanEars

*****************************************

The weather is so beautiful today! On days like today, I'd usually wear a skirt or dress; but sadly, at my job, we can only wear pants (😢). I looked everywhere for a pair of pants that would be cute, light weight, flattering, NOT jeans, and were suitable for work. I ended up with these printed, super light weight harem pants by Staring at Stars for Urban Outfitters. They're so comfortable and the print is so cute for summer! They make me feel like a real Hippie Gypsy Mermaid Princess, haha. I love the high waist because it allows me to wear all the crop tops I have to work. I paired the pants with this simple black crop tee by Kirra for PacSun and my black/white chucks because I wanted the pants to be the main focus of the outfit. As always accessories are kept to the bare minimum (although I really should start wearing some jewelry or something lol).
So, what are you guys wearing on this beautiful summer day?

Fairy skirts are awesome

T-shirt- H&M
Skirt- American Eagle Outfitters
Sneakers- Converse all stars
Rose bud crown- Urban Outfitters (ended up switching this out for a burgundy cap from H&M)

****************************************

This is a weird day. It's kind of sunny & hot but also cloudy and cool, so it's hard to figure out what to wear. Since I'm warm blooded and am always hot, I chose to go with a warmer weather outfit. I started with this fairy skirt I bought from American Eagle. It's super cute and light weight and is also really flattering on girls with hips (hard to find!). I wanted the skirt to be the main piece so I stuck with really simple, neutral pieces for the rest; this plain white tee from H&M and my high top chucks. I also like that these two elements play down the girliness (not a real word) of the skirt. I switched out the floral crown for a snap back baseball cap from H&M in case of rain.

Sun shiny day!

Dress- thrifted (from Everything Goes)
Crop tank- Forever21
Belt- Garage
Sneakers- Vans (flowers drawn by me!)

***************************************

It's such a beautiful day!! And of course I'm stuck at work. For today's look I wanted something really cute and classic. I paired this thrifted dress with this stripped crop top to give off that all American classic look. To add a pop of color and some fun I threw on these high top Vans that I drew sunflowers and daisies all over. Not much else to say haha. What's are you guys wearing on this beautiful day?

Something old, Something new

Top- Brandy Melville
Skirt- Vintage (bought off Poshmark)
Tights- H&M
Boots- Dr Martens, Luana boot

*************************************

For today's look I wanted to go for a grungy vibe. I paired this Vintage floral skirt I bought from Poshmark (follow my closet if you have one! My username is joslynneliza) with this light weight black sweater from Brandy Melville. Since I unusually keep my outfits simple, I topped the look off by throwing on my Docs. That's really all there is to it. What are you guys wearing today?

It's my birthday!! 😁 (06.04.1991)

Flower crown- Urban Outfitters
Cardigan- Ann Taylor Loft
Top- Brandy Melville
Pants- PacSun
Sandals- American Eagle Outfitters

*************************************
Wow, today's my birthday!! Can't believe I'm already 22! Time is seriously flying by. For today's look I wanted to wear something that was 100% me. Something cute, fun & laid back with a splash of color. It's a beautiful (almost) summer day so I wanted something with a boho hippie vibe. I started out with the pants from PacSun and worked the rest of my outfit around them. They're so fun and comfortable. They have a really cute tribal-esque pattern and a slight flare leg. They're also a poly cotton & linen blend so they're really breathable which is perfect for the heat. I matched that with this light weight semi sheer top from Brandy Melville. I added the gladiator sandals and rose floral crown to get that boho hippie vibe I was aiming for. Roped it off with the cardigan and voila, my birthday outfit :)
What do you guys like I wear on your birthday?
