Get Inspired! Get PASHIONATE! with ReFabished Love by Regina Bella

"Be the change you wish to see in the world." - Ghandi

No matter where you're from, making your community a better place is something we've all wanted to achieve. While some of us only want change and growth, others actually go out there & make it happen. Shuttling around from Philadelphia to New York, I've met a lot of people who are passionate about not only making a change in their communities, but doing so by doing what they love. A friend of mine, Regina Bella, is a prime example of one of those people. After working in the cosmetology field for 7 years, Regina decided to expand her horizons and started taking image consulting classes at The Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.) in NYC. During her time there, she came to find she had a much bigger interest in the creative aspect of fashion and decided to pursue design and styling. With that passion and drive, in 2012, Regina's design and styling company, ReFabished Love was born.

ReFabished Love also has their own clothing line of reconstructed, handcrafted, and customizable clothing. These items can be seen and bought on ReFabishedLove.com or in boutiques in the Philadelphia area.

Am I living in Seattle or .... ?

Top & jeans- American Eagle Outfitters
Sneakers- Vans Authentics
Headband- Forever21
Belt- H&M

So today is ANOTHER rainy day and I decided to keep my outfit as simple as possible. I started out with this sleeveless chambray button up/down from AEO. I love this too because its super comfortable and soft (literally feels like your most comfy pjs) but its still polished and fashion forward. I love the two little pocket details as well.

For my bottoms, although I usually wear these with crop tops, I chose my high rise black jeggings from AEO. I love these because they're not truly at your waist (high rise not high waisted) so you can wear them with so many different things. They're also really comfortable because they have a good amount of stretch in them. I threw on my tribal print belt from H&M to help hold them up (small waist problems haha).

Because I would die without color blocking, I threw on my Port Wine authentic Vans. These are my FAVORITE sneakers ever! I've just about run them to the ground but as long as they stay on, I'll wear them. Seriously if you don't have a pair of authentic Vans, you're missing out! They're really versatile and can be worn with literally anything; dresses, shorts, skirts, jeans, sweats, ANYTHING!

It's raining. Rain and curly hair DO NOT mix. I wanted to do an up do, so I just twist back the front of my hair, put it up in a low bun, and threw on this super cute bicycle print retro headband from Forever21.

And voila, my look for this dreary rainy day. What are you wearing?

Running errands is a drag (8/18)

Dress- H&M
Boots- Steve Madden
Accessories- Spider charm bracelet from Mexico & friendship bracelet from Brazil

Today's my day off & I'm off to run some errands. I wanted to keep my outfit simple & easy. I started with this super cute, cherry print shirt dress from H&M. This dress is one of my favorites because its really flattering on my figure. The cinched waist & cut accentuate my smaller waist, while the collar & looser hem balance out my bigger top & bottom. The cherry print is so retro cool, I love it. It's also light weight & breathes.

For my shoes I wanted something a little edgier since my dress is so girly & sweet. I chose my Steve Madden cutout booties. They have this rocker look with buckles & a small heel & they make me feel like a bad ass (haha).

Lastly, for my accessories I kept it simple with my everyday arm candy. My spider charm bracelet my boyfriends sisters got me from Mexico & a friendship bracelet this Brazilian tourist I met gave me. I never take these off because 1. they were really sweet gifts and 2. because they're tied onto my arm (haha again).

So that's my easy going, simple outfit for today. What are you wearing?

Easy on Sunday morning

Entire outfit- American Eagle outfitters

Today was my last official day at American Eagle Outfitters and it was a bit bitter sweet. We had a meeting at 7am, so the first thing I thought when I was picking out my clothes was comfort. The second thing I thought about was what style I wanted to convey today. In the end my hippie boho side won out.
I started out with my long, flowy brunch tank from AEO. It's super soft and comfortable and has an open back. It gives off the most easy going laid back hippie vibes. I added a lace bralette from Aerie underneath since the back is open.

For my bottoms I knew right away I was going to go with my vintage wash Artist jeans, again, from AEO. These jeans have the perfect flair bottoms that aren't too wide and they sit comfortably on the hips. The fading in the thighs give it that worn vintage look and it also makes them really flattering on curvy girls with bigger thighs (like me!). I got them in the shorter length since I have short legs & it hits just at the top of my foot. They're perfect for the hippie boho look I was going for.

Although there's this stigma that black & brown should never be worn together, I feel like you could never go wrong with a pair of brown sandals. My favorites are these studded gladiators from, where else, AEO. These sandals are so comfortable! They're real leather and suede so they keep up with the hippie look as well. I've had these for years & I wear them with everything.

To finish off my look, I added this leather, floral, headband from (surprise, surprise) AEO. I absolutely love this headband because of its neutral colors and the fact that it's a tie on as opposed to elastic. You can tie it to fit exactly how you want so no headaches and no hair getting caught. I also love that it's leather so it'll last me a while.

And that's my easy going, hippie boho, outfit of the day for this Sunday. What are you wearing?

Liberty Art Fabrics & Pleather

Top- Material Girl
Jeans- American Eagle Outfitters
Sneakers- Vans authentic, Liberty Art fabrics

Today is going to be a long day. I have work at 8:30am and all I want to do is go back to sleep. Since I can't, I decided I wanted to be as comfortable as possible today; I grabbed my boy fit jeans from American Eagle & started from there. These jeans are THE most comfortable pair of jeans I have ever owned. They're really flattering on any body type (as long as they're your right size) and they have a distressed almost vintage wash.

Since my jeans are so causal and loose, I wanted to wear a structured top to keep from looking too frumpy. I chose this Pleather sleeveless top from Material Girl. It's pleather material helps keep the shape of the top and gives it an edgy, chic feel. It also has stretch in it so its super comfortable.

Using my shoes, I wanted to add some color to today's look. I chose my Liberty Art Fabrics authentic Vans. These sneakers have a beautiful paisley print made by L.A.F. and are colorful and vibrant. Vans authentics are my favorite sneaker, they're comfortable, versatile, and super cute.

That's my outfit of the day. No accessories except my friendship bracelet and I didn't do much with my hair. So, what are you guys wearing today?

It's Friday, it's my day off, & I'm going thrifting!

Knit kimono- Torrid
Tank- Brandy Melville
Bralette- Aerie
Shorts- Cutoffs I made from American Apparel jeans
Boots- Zara
Necklace- Forever21 (I think lol)
Bracelet- Brandy Melville

****************************************

Today's my day off & that means... Thrifting!!! Although I won't be buying today, just going to sell some stuff. For today's look I wanted something laid back, easy & comfy. I grabbed my signature cutoffs (American Apparel) & loose tank (Brandy Melville) & started from there. I always like to wear bralettes as apposed to regular bras for 2 reasons; they look cute poking out of loose drapey tanks & they're SO comfortable! So, I wore my black lace bralette from Aerie. It's going to be a rainy day so I threw on these black Zara boots because they're light & will keep my feet cool & dry. For accessories I kept it nice & simple with my Indian headdress pendant necklace & my skull black suede bracelet. Using a neon yellow scrunchy for a pop of color. To give the look a boho feel (& to keep me warm in the rain & in the ac) I added my knit kimono from Torrid. And that's my outfit of the day for today! What are you guys wearing?

Kimono a go go

Kimono- Ectoé for Urban Outfitters
Tank- John Galt for Brandy Melville
Bralette- Aerie
Shorts- Vintage Wranglers thrifted from Everything Goes SI
Shoes- Maryjanes from TopShop

*****************************************

Today's a beautiful day! For today's look I wanted to wear something that was muted and understated but still stood out in some way. So I kept my outfit monochromatic with the black top, shorts and bralette. I didn't want to wear ALL black so I threw on my taupe maryjanes from TopShop. To finish the look off, I added my Ecoté kimono.
What are you guys wearing today?

It's rainy, it's hot, and my outfits confused..

Tank- PacSun
Jeans- American Eagle
Boots- Steve Madden

*********************************

Rain in a heat wave; the most confusing time to dress oneself. Haha. Seriously though, finding something to wear in this weathers a little hard. I didn't know if I should wear a t- shirt, a tank top, a sweater, jeans, a skirt, boots or sneakers; this weather is just too weird. In the end I decided on a tank, some jeans and boots. This way of it does start raining again I'll be cool in the tank and dry with the jeans & boots. I chose this striped skater tank from PacSun (I love that is says "Shred till ya dead"). I went with these faded black jeggings from American Eagle for two reasons; 1. They're really light weight so I won't be too hot in them and 2. They have rips to let a little breeze in (lol). And lastly I threw on these brown Steve Madden combat boots because they're more breathable than my docs and, since I don't have rain boots, these keep my feet driest.
So that's my look for today. What do you guys wear in this weird weather?
