Rainy daze

Top- Kierra for PacSun
Skirt & bangles- American Eagle Outfitters
Thing highs- H&M
Boots- Zara
Headband & hair tie- Free People

I know on Sunday I said it was my last day at American Eagle but ... It wasn't. They actually called and asked if I wanted to work 2 extra days & I thought why not. So I'm working today & Thursday will be my last day.
For today's look I wanted something a little sassy & just a twinge sexy but still work appropriate. I started off with my black crop tee from PacSun. I love this tee because its a bit longer than most crop tees in both the body & the sleeves.

Next I put on my high waisted pleated chambray skirt from AEO. I love this skirt because its super soft and comfortable & gives off that sexy school girl vibe because of the pleats. The length is totally work appropriate & the high waist allows me to wear crop tops. It's my favorite skirt.

Since its raining the weathers a little cooler than normal so I wanted to add tights to my outfit. Instead of the regular run of the mill black tights, I decided to put on these lace detailed thigh highs from H&M. I absolutely love these because they add sexiness to any outfit! The lace is just covered by the skirt so you get little peeks of it as I walk. It's the perfect way to be sexy without crossing over into slutty.

For my shoes, I threw on my go-to Zara lace ups. They keep my feet dry in the rain & are a more chic take on the combat boot. They also have an Oxford look which allows you to dress them up or down. I wear them all year round.

For my accessories I wanted to add a subtle pop of color; so I chose my braided headband from Free People. I love this headband because it adds a hippie vibe to any outfit. It's also a tie back which adjustable to fit any head size. No more hair getting caught or headaches from elastic bands!

I also threw on these gold bangles from AEO to add a little something extra. I wear them half way up my forearm for a boho look and also to keep the bangles from jiggling (hate that sound!). On my other arm I have my Free People hair tie & (of course) my Brazilian friendship bracelet.

There you have it. My outfit for this rainy Tuesday work day. What are you wearing?

I want a beach day :(

Crop top- American Eagle Outfitters
Skirt- Vintage Express
Sandals- Zara

******************************************

Oh how I wish I was going to the beach, or a pool or somewhere cool & relaxing; but alas, off to work I go. For today's outfit, I wanted to wear something fun & playful but of course, still simple. I started with this floral print vintage Express skirt. The flowers on the skirt have maroon in the middle so it was a perfect tie in to this maroon & white stripped crop tee from my job, American Eagle. This outfit by itself is pretty girly so I added my Zara studded fishermans sandals to add to edge to the look. And there you have it, my outfit for today. What are you guys wearing?

It's Friday, it's my day off, & I'm going thrifting!

Knit kimono- Torrid
Tank- Brandy Melville
Bralette- Aerie
Shorts- Cutoffs I made from American Apparel jeans
Boots- Zara
Necklace- Forever21 (I think lol)
Bracelet- Brandy Melville

Today's my day off & that means... Thrifting!!! Although I won't be buying today, just going to sell some stuff. For today's look I wanted something laid back, easy & comfy. I grabbed my signature cutoffs (American Apparel) & loose tank (Brandy Melville) & started from there. I always like to wear bralettes as apposed to regular bras for 2 reasons; they look cute poking out of loose drapey tanks & they're SO comfortable! So, I wore my black lace bralette from Aerie. It's going to be a rainy day so I threw on these black Zara boots because they're light & will keep my feet cool & dry. For accessories I kept it nice & simple with my Indian headdress pendant necklace & my skull black suede bracelet. Using a neon yellow scrunchy for a pop of color. To give the look a boho feel (& to keep me warm in the rain & in the ac) I added my knit kimono from Torrid. And that's my outfit of the day for today! What are you guys wearing?

Hope I'm work appropriate....

Plaid shirt- H&M
Tank- Urban Outfitters
Skirt- American Eagle
Boots- Zara

So today's another hot one and with that comes the torture of having to find a work AND weather appropriate outfit. I work retail, so you'd think it wouldn't be too hard to find something to wear, but let me tell you, it's impossible! If I wear something appropriate for work, chances are I might get a heat stroke. If I wear something appropriate for the weather, chances are I'm going to get fired (okay maybe not fired but it wouldn't be good. Today I tried really hard to balance the two. I started with the skirt since its the one piece of my outfit that's actually from  my job (lol!). This skirts really short, so I knew I'd have to balance it with something longer & looser up top, so I chose this lightweight plaid button down from H&M. This fabric is so light and flowy it almost feels like you have nothing on, which is perfect for the weather. I added this plain white tank to offset all the dark fall like colors. Added boots for a badass touch and voila, my work AND weather appropriate outfit of the day.
So, what do you guys think?

Never thought I'd wear a skort again but...

Top- PacSun
Skort- Zara
Boots- Dr Martens, Luana boot

***************************************

I remember when I was a kid, skorts (shorts that have this sort of front flap that makes them this hybrid skirt/shorts thing.. for those of you who don't know) were THE article of clothing for girls like me. Girls who were tomboys but still liked to be girly. I like to think I'm still like that so when I saw this black skort in Zara, I couldn't pass it up! It's so cute and comfortable and has pockets and the length is great and, ugh, I'm just in love (lol). There are so many different ways to wear this skort but for today's look, I paired it with this sunflower top from Pacsun and my Dr Marten, Luana boots. *note to self- never wear your docs in this kind of blistering hear again!*
I plan on making a ton of different outfits with this Zara skort so stay tuned!

Not much to say about today's look. Threw on this simple red floral Kimichi Blue dress from Urban Outfitters to brighten up this gloomy rainy day. Paired that with my plain black Oxford boots from Zara. What do your rainy day outfits look like?
