It's Saturday and I am ecstatic!

Plaid shirt- GAP (the boyfs shirt :D)
Tank- Urban Outfitters
Jeans- American Eagle Outfitters
Boots- Dr Martens, 1460 vegan boot
Belt & Socks- H&M

Just ended my first week at my new office job and whoo, that was a lot to take in. I survived and now it's time for the weekend! Having to wear "business attire" to work is really cramping my personal style, so I'm so glad I'm able to wear what I want on the weekends.
I started out with my boyfriends plaid shirt from the GAP. I LOVE this shirt, it's so comfortable and cozy & always smells like him. I wanted to mix some prints so I added a camouflage tank underneath.

Oh how I missed wearing jeans. For today's look I wanted something fitted and classic since I'm wearing something loose and kinda funky on top. I went with these vintage wash jeggings from AEO. These are the best jeans ever! They hug in all the right places are are the perfect length. Definitely recommend for any curvy girls looking for good skinny jeans. Paired them with my favorite burgundy belt from H&M.

Boots! It's finally that time of year when boots can be an everyday thing. For today's look I wanted to wear my vegan Docs. I could live in these boots forever. Because they're vegan, they're super soft straight out of the box (so no blisters trying to break them in). They have this candied apple color that literally goes with everything. They make me feel like a badass (haha). I paired them with my favorite ruffle socks from H&M.

And there you have it. My "weekends are the best because I can wear what I want" ootd. What are you wearing?

Blue skies smiling at me :)

Cardigan & top- H&M
Short- American Apparel cutoffs (cut by myself :))
Knee Highs- Urban Outfitters
Boots- Vegan Dr Martens, 1460 boot

The weather has SO perfect these past few days. It's that kind of weather whee you can wear whatever you want an still feel comfortable. For today's look I wanted to add little elements of summer and fall since we're still in transition between those two seasons. I started off with my cutoff shorts from American Apparel. I love these shorts because they're truly high waisted pants; I also love that, since I cut them myself, the length is appropriate for any occasion since you can roll the cuff up or down.

I will only wear crop tops with these shorts! They're the perfect way to accentuate the waist. For today's look I chose this razor back crop tank from H&M. This tank is super comfy & has cut neon yellow accents at the seams. I love that it's super fitted because I don't have to wear a bra with it, haha (braless hippies UNITE!). I threw this grey knit cardigan from H&M over because its a little chilly and to add my first fall element to the look.

For my foot wear of the day, I wanted to wear my new vegan Dr Martens. I love love love these boots because the material they used to make them (synthetic leather) is super soft so breaking them in was a breeze. I also love the candied apple finish they've got going on. I paired these with my black knee highs because 1. like I said, it's chilly, 2. wearing low socks with docs causes rubbing and it hurts and it's just not fun and 3. to add another fall element to my look.

And there you have it. My summer meets fall outfit of the day. What are you wearing?

Never thought I'd wear a skort again but...

Top- PacSun
Skort- Zara
Boots- Dr Martens, Luana boot

***************************************

I remember when I was a kid, skorts (shorts that have this sort of front flap that makes them this hybrid skirt/shorts thing.. for those of you who don't know) were THE article of clothing for girls like me. Girls who were tomboys but still liked to be girly. I like to think I'm still like that so when I saw this black skort in Zara, I couldn't pass it up! It's so cute and comfortable and has pockets and the length is great and, ugh, I'm just in love (lol). There are so many different ways to wear this skort but for today's look, I paired it with this sunflower top from Pacsun and my Dr Marten, Luana boots. *note to self- never wear your docs in this kind of blistering hear again!*
I plan on making a ton of different outfits with this Zara skort so stay tuned!

It's SATURDAY and I'm wearing SHORTS

Sweater- H&M
T-shirt & shorts- Urban Outfitters
Tights- Asos
Boots- Dr Martens, Luana boot

*******************************************
I love a good crop top & high waisted shorts combo; but there's something about wearing a loose fitting, cover it all up boyfriend tee with a pair of high waisted shorties that I find perfect. It's like just the right balance of casual cool & sexy. Today I wore my high waisted shorties with a color striped tee, both from Urban, my Dr martens & some black opaque tights. I threw on a blue chunky cardigan to add some volume & bc it's chilly out (so unfortunate since its almost June!) but what can you do.
How would you wear your high waisted shorts & bf tees?

Easy Day to Night

Dress- Urban Outfitters
Sweater- Brandy Melville
Boots- Dr Martens, Luana boot
Sunnies- H&M

************************************
Finally some warm sunny weather!
After 2 days of rain here in the big apple, I can finally pull out a dress & some sunnies & call it a day. This dress from Urban Outfitters is so comfortable! It's a dropped empire waist, which is really roomy & loose and 100% rayon, so it's light weight & airy. While it will be in the 70's/80's today, tonight, which is when I get out of work, will be about 15 degrees cooler. For that time, I threw on this light weight sweater from Brandy Melville. It has cut outs in the back & is also made of rayon so it's great to layer. This is such an easy & simple way to take an outfit from day to night. Just throw a light sweater over & you're good to go! :)

Shopping day :D

Hat- GAP
Sweater & thigh highs- H&M
Dress- Brandy Melville
Socks- Delia's
Boots- Dr Martens, Luana boot

*********************************
Happy Mexican Independence Day! I hope everyone has a fun & safe time. I'm spending today shopping with my mom and sister so I wanted to throw on something fun and easy. This is one of my favorite looks because it's so interchangeable. If it gets warmer I can pull off the thigh highs, hat or sweater to make it a warmer weather outfit. It's all about layering.

Digging the feel my hat gives this look. During the Spring, (or any other season for that matter) hats can be a great way to change the look or feel of an outfit. Throw on a baseball cap & you've got casual. Newsboy or fedora & you get a vintage feel. Not to mention, if you're like me, hats can be a great way to cover up wild & unruly hair for days when you just can't be bothered. So go out & try some hats on! Find a great style you can incorporate into your wardrobe & have fun with it 😄
